What does Terre des Hommes do in Switzerland?

Terre des Hommes Switzerland informs and raises public awareness in Switzerland, especially that of young people, on questions of development and North-South solidarity. The future of sustainable development lies in the present, and that is why we place so much importance on spreading information and raising the awareness of the younger generation. In French-speaking Switzerland, and particularly in Geneva, we encourage children and young people to adopt a more responsible and supportive attitude in their daily lives by, for example, giving preference to Fair Trade products. This is why it is so important to produce educational material and to make regular visits to schools, especially on the 20 November – Children’s Rights Day - or when organising the March of Hope. Arts and Crafts sales, sales of paper handkerchiefs, exhibitions, solidarphone, and stands at various events, are all activities which we organise both to inform the public and to raise funds for all our undertakings.
