Solidarcomm — 1 donated mobile telephone = 5 francs for Terre des Hommes
Don’t leave your mobile on the shelf!
What to do with those mobile phones you no longer want? With one single action you can now finance a development project, help create jobs for those in rehabilitation schemes, prevent wastage and protect the environment. All you need to do is take your mobile phone and accessories to a Swisscom shop (anywhere in Switzerland). For each mobile donated, Terre des Hommes Suisse will receive 5 francs, which will go towards the financing of development projects in the South. A good way to transform your old unwanted mobiles into an act of solidarity! What happens to your old mobile? Collected at the Swisscom shop, they are then sent to the “Realise” association in Geneva. There they are sorted and either reconditioned, recycled or destroyed in accordance with the laws governing the protection of the environment. Those sets which can be reconditioned are destined for overseas markets, thus allowing underprivileged populations access to modern technology at reasonable prices.
